Mentoring can enhance a young person’s journey to adulthood. The Passport 2 Mentoring (P2M) helps provide safe passage into the wide array of service and support available to mentoring relationships and mentoring programs. The art of mentoring is still being refined. The research is clear that quality mentoring programs can support youth in improving academic performance, reducing alcohol and drug use, reducing teen pregnancy and reducing violence. The California Mentor Foundation (CMF) was formed with the vision to create a coordinated and continuously improving mentoring movement in California.
