We are what we do – it’s a simple as that. Our bodies are incredibly wondrous and resilient machines, which, if properly fed and nurtured, will perform seamlessly for you through times of stress, hard work, emotional turmoil and all the wear and tear of a life well lived.

The work of a mentor is one of the most important and most daunting tasks facing America today. The health hazards of our young people are not only critical in and of themselves, but they also have a very direct bearing on the future of our country. The things we are witnessing today – childhood and teen obesity, lack of motivation to eat right and exercise, the national addiction of TV and video games that lead directly to isolation and depression, the shocking rate of illiteracy – are all frightening examples of where we are headed. Kids simply must learn, grasp and absorb the concept that what they do with their lives today will result in how they are able or unable to cope as adults when their time comes to be fully responsible and accountable.
