lifesaver. It gives them a place to play their role, and, with time and
dedication, that place offers them a new role – the satisfaction that
comes from making a contribution. They will see how networks grow and
contacts develop, opening up potential career paths for them that will
utilize and honor the callings of their heart. Their breadth of
knowledge about how the world works will be greatly enhanced.
The most important role mentors can perform is to encourage the kids to think about how to solve problems in the community. Urge them to discover their voice that will funnel their creativity, their energy, their passion into a project that will show specific end results of their commitment.
